6th generation Californian and founder of Sand & Sparkle, Lauren Segala, knows a thing or two about beach babe beauty and style. Born in Santa Monica she spent her youth splitting time between Pacific Palisades and Palm Springs, and currently lives and works in Huntington Beach. Starting her career in fast fashion, she quickly worked her way into specialty boutiques and luxury retail. In 2009 her focus pivoted to the beauty industry and she studied makeup artistry and aesthetics, eventually working for a leading cosmetic company and then moving on to build her own team of makeup artists, hairstylists, and tanning technicians serving Southern California.

For as long as she can remember, Lauren has spent her personal time treasure hunting flea markets, antique shops, vintage stores, and estate sales; a love instilled in her by her mother and grandmother, at a very young age. Through the years she was focused on securing a lucrative career in both the fashion and beauty industry, her passion was sourcing unique vintage goods and finding those items new owners. In 2012 Lauren decided to meld her two loves by opening a brick and mortar shop to sell the amazing items she had collected over the years, as well as offer makeup services. While the location is no longer, Sand & Sparkle allows Lauren to work (mostly) from home and raise her daughter while pursuing what she loves.
